Alucoil becomes a benchmark in sustainability in the aluminium sector by achieving the “Zero Waste” Certification with a valuation of 98.83%

The company has demonstrated its ability to transform almost all of the waste generated into new raw materials, energy, or reusable products, significantly minimizing its environmental impact.
With this certification, ALUCOIL makes a strong contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

ALUCOIL, a Spanish multinational company specialized in the manufacture of technologically advanced aluminium materials for the building, transport, and industrial sectors, has obtained the “Zero Waste” certificate granted by AENOR, with a recovery rate of 98.83%.
The scope of the certification includes the manufacture of its LARSON® FR composite panels and LARCORE® aluminium honeycomb panels.

This recognition highlights ALUCOIL’s commitment to efficient waste management and reinforces its dedication to sustainability, positioning the company as a benchmark in its sector.

With this level of recovery, ALUCOIL demonstrates its ability to transform almost all of the waste generated during the production of LARSON® FR and LARCORE® panels into new raw materials, energy, or reusable products, thus significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
This percentage—remarkably difficult to achieve—places the company well above the usual industry standards, making it a pioneer in responsible practices within its field.

An unprecedented achievement in the industry

“Obtaining this certificate with a 98.83% recovery rate reflects the effort, innovation, and commitment of our entire team. We are fully aware of how challenging it is to reach this level, and we are proud to be pioneers leading the way toward a more sustainable future and a greener industry,” the company stated

The main strategies that have enabled ALUCOIL to achieve this exceptional result are based on:

  1. The use of 100% recyclable raw materials and products, ensuring that any waste can be recovered with minimal environmental impact.
  2. Optimization of internal processes to minimize waste generation.
  3. Collaboration with strategic partners specialized in sustainable waste management.
  4. Internal and external awareness initiatives through training programs on proper waste management.
Positive impact and future goals

With this certification, ALUCOIL makes a strong contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

“We continue to work diligently and expect to reach new sustainability milestones soon, integrating innovations that allow us to keep leading the transition toward a cleaner and more environmentally responsible world,” concludes the ALUCOIL team.
